StarVie and the Alas Trefemo Foundation are together in favour of the most vulnerable collectives

The Alas Trefemo Foundation is in charge of manufacturing the StarVie protectors. The aim of this collaboration is to jointly promote work and employment for people with disabilities who form part of the foundation’s staff.

This is a collaboration in favour of the most vulnerable groups that aims to give continuity to the work that the Alas Trefemo Foundation has been carrying out for over 25 years: to support and create the balance between economic growth and social welfare, thereby improving the quality of life for its workers, 89% of whom are people with disabilities (a group with greater difficulties of integration).

Alas Trefemo Foundation, more than 25 years of social work

The Alas Trefemo Foundation was founded in 1993 in Madrid. Trefemo realised there was a need to offer some of its users with intellectual disabilities an opportunity in the workplace, so after verifying their capacity to work, they decided to create a Special Employment Centre.

At present, more than 89% of its staff are workers with disabilities. For this reason, as a social economy enterprise dedicated to the manufacture of plastic containers in Madrid, it wants to support their integration and access to employment by encouraging their personal development and autonomy.

For the Foundation, taking on the commitment to apply socially responsible company policies is a commitment necessary for the balance between economic growth and social welfare.
